I took some photographs at the first Portland Blues Dance competition at Portland’s Lenora’s Room. It was a very fun event and got some great black and white dance pictures of the dancers. The rest of the night was filled with great blues dancing as well!

Wow, these shots of blues are incredible, I am pretty distraught about how poorly documented blues is. Your photography does a fantastic job of capturing the feel as well as the aesthetic of blues. I’m terribly impressed. I want to make it down to Portland sometime.
I really just want to write and say well done. All of your shots are clear and well executed. I wish we had some one that skilled with a camera and interested in blues down here in utah, but oh well. Thank you for these pictures, they will help me show and explain the fantastic dance that is blues.
