I love seeing new cool ideas at weddings and I loved that ben and Mackenzie had two caricature artists come and draw during the reception, which was a great hit with the guests. Mackenzie and Ben had a dream cast of vendors at their Portland Art Museum, Whitney from Soiree Event Planning, Vibrant Table Catering, Vibrant Flowers, John Russ Music, Petunia’s Pies and Pastries, Portland Makeup and Hair and Robert Griffen!

I first met Ben when I photographed their engagement session during the winter (32F cold weather). He is a really nice, humble sailor and they make a super cute couple! There were many touching moments during the wedding – such as when first they saw each other in their wedding attire at The Nines Hotel rooftop, at Departure Restaurant or reading each other’s letters. Mackenzie and her dad also did a first look and it was very touching.
