A new area I am working on is the high school senior portraits. Frankly, the ones I have seen are pretty boring.

I am attaching a photo that I took at my latest senior shoot. Don’t worry – we took plenty of standard poses. Then played around to get some more edgy and fun ones. Hannah was a very fun person to photograph and we got some great stuff.

My approach to high school seniors would be to shoot almost all outdoors – I love available light and natural backgrounds – be it industrial, parks, or sunsets. I especially like using studio lights outdoors. I will post an example of that soon as well.
