We are in the market for an inexpensive small sedan with decent gas mileage for everyday tasks. I am looking around and some people are so unrealistic. The problem is – they make other people unrealistic too. You can get a brand new one for 16K but the 2 year used one with 40K miles is $14K. Or Dick Hannah Kia listed a 2004 Hyundai Elantra for $12900 (what is wrong with them???).
The problem is you can get a brand new one for pretty much that price with the $1000 incentive. The problem is dealer prices are negotiable and jacked up WAY WAY high, sure, but private sellers look at these prices and jack up their prices. However, they also do not negotiate. Then reason sets in and they end up selling at a lower price (the market value) after months of not being able to sell it but too late for me. By the way, I will definitely skip Dick Hannah – why spend my money with such scammers. Dealers are not necessarily the ones with a conscience but I don’t have to shop at a one that is so obviously out there to get you.
Sorry for the rant!
We are in the market for a new/used car for commuting 20+ miles and we’re are not happy with what we’re seeing out there either. Our car, not worth 500.00 needs 600.00 in repair to get it going again ( radiator and other troubles), and 1000.00 to get it updated completely. I think we’ll spend it on the “next” car instead.
Keep us updated with what you end up with and where you’ve seen any good deals if there are any.
Keep up with posting the pics, we look through them often!

Hi Evrim!
I understand your problem! I however got a brand new Mazda3i for about 14k. It gets around 35-40 mpg highway and around 32-37 city driving. You should check them out. The 2006 models come with a 4yr/48k mile warranty and roadside assistance. In WA people were complete jerks. However where I am moving to in CA they were really helpful and helped me get exactly what I wanted and needed with in my price range. You should check them out! Good Luck!

Thanks Jenn!
I noticed I used “The problem is” like 3-4 times in a row. I should proof read these! 🙂
